For Elliott and Hog Shed Studio Pottery, 2017 and 2018 have been great years for some well deserved recognition!  Things started with the 2017 Allentown Art Show, where Elliott won FIRST PLACE in clay!  This was followed by the 2018 DISTINGUISHED ARTIST OF THE YEAR award, presented to Elliott by Tina Hastings of the Cattaraugus County Arts Council.   Elliott's hard work has kept the pottery going for over 35 years, and the public recognition of her work adds to the satisfaction she gets from working with clay.  At her acceptance speech for the Distinguished Artist Award, Elliot said " “I feel lucky to be a potter and use my hands to make something that touches people’s lives.”


This year we have made the decision to have more flexible studio hours.  Although we will be here many of the normal days, we may also be called away more often than usual.  (Our very first grandchild was born June 18th and we will want to spend quality "grandparent time" in NYC!)
